What We Do

Supporting Church Planting and Bible Translation in Papua New Guinea

Papua New Guinea is one of the most rugged places on the planet–with its people groups perpetually separated by steep mountains, fast-flowing rivers, volcanos, and other geographic obstacles. This landscape is largely the reason why so many languages have been preserved here. In fact, the linguistic diversity of Papua New Guinea is unparalleled!

Though roughly the size of California and with a population of only 9 million people, this country holds over 10% of all the world’s languages, making it the most diverse country on the planet! Of the 830 languages in the country, more than 300 are not yet written down, making access to Scripture for these people groups nonexistent. The need for missionaries to go to Papua New Guinea is great.

Village Ministry

Over 80% of PNG’s population live in villages. Most of these villages are located in remote mountains, often without any roads connecting them to the outside world. The only way into such places is by boat, plane, or helicopter. These isolated people groups will not hear unless preachers are sent (Romans 10:15).

Partnering with local churches here in the States, we provide a pathway of training for missionaries to get from their local church here to one of these hard-to-reach villages in PNG so that God’s Word can be translated and local churches can be planted there as well."

Urban Ministry

While much of Papua New Guinea's population is scattered throughout the mountains, many come to the town of Madang for work or school for several years. This creates a unique ministry opportunity! For a season, all these languages come together and speak the same trade language, allowing us the opportunity to support gospel proclamation and church planting in an urban setting.

In addition to this, Madang is the location of our base of operations, where our competent and qualified staff provides on-going logistical and pastoral support to our missionaries in the remote mountains.

Aviation Ministry

We are currently developing an aviation pipeline to help pilots and mechanics be trained in order to help keep the missionaries in these remote areas supplied with what they need in order to be successful in their work.
